Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue's mission is to provide the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Lighthouse Point the very best in Fire Rescue Services, to deliver the highest level of patient care, to offer quality public education in life safety services and fire prevention, and to protect the natural resources of our community in a courteous and professional manner. Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue (LHPFR) was created in 1963 as a volunteer fire department. Not until October 1, 1972, did it become a professionally paid fire department for the City of Lighthouse Point.
