LUMBERMEN'S helps contractors get paid by filing a Notice to Owner (NTO) as a prerequisite to file a Claim of Lien. The Florida Lien Law authorizes those that furnish labor and material to improve real property as well as those that perform professional services to file a Claim of Lien as security for payment if they are not being paid. This includes architects, landscape architects, engineers and interior designers as well as painters, electricians, plumbers, drywallers, roofers and general labor.
