Sea Turtle Oversight Protection (S.T.O.P.) is an all-volunteer sea turtle rescue non-profit (501(c)3 organization based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since 2007, S.T.O.P. volunteers have rescued over 260,000 disoriented sea turtle hatchlings from artificial light pollution. We offer an education center and eco-friendly gift shop, as well as beach walks in August in September to learn about sea turtles and the threats of artificial lights, human impact and coastal development. Red/Amber lights save sea turtles lives!
